How has the scholarship award enabled you to pursue your ambitions?

The scholarship has provided me with the financial support necessary for me to pursue a PhD at Imperial College.

Why did you choose to study at Imperial?

Imperial College is a world renowned University that is right at the forefront of Synthetic Biology research. Therefore studying at Imperial has given me the opportunity to work along side some of the leaders in this field.

What have you been up to on the programme so far?

To date, my time has been largely spent on my main research project, which is centred around identifying the potential of exotic organisms and putting them to work. As well as concentrating on my main research project, I have also had the opportunity to present at conferences, supervise students and contribute to research papers.
