Tuition fee remission scheme

Please note: fee remission for children of staff was withdrawn from the start of the 2017–18 academic year. The below only applies to those already on the policy.

The following only applies to children of employees of the College and wholly-owned subsidiaries of the College who have been employed by the College (or the subsidiary) for at least one year prior to the start of the undergraduate course.

It does not apply to children of staff who hold an honorary contract with the College.

Fee remission is not available to employees themselves for any programmes at undergraduate level.

  • Children of full time College employees are eligible for a part fee remission of one third of the standard Home/EU undergraduate fee
  • Children of part time College employees are eligible for a part fee remission of up to one third of the standard Home/EU undergraduate fee proportionate to the parent’s contracted hours of employment

Children of staff will receive the higher of either the financial aid (based on household income) available through the Imperial Bursary scheme or fee remission from the College but not both.

Where both parents are employed by the College, the contract of only one parent is taken into account in calculating tuition fee remission.

All children of staff who already qualify for fee remission (including holders of offers for deferred entry) will continue to receive remission under the policy in force at the time of their offer but new applicants to the 2017–18 academic year onwards will not be eligible for fee remission.
