Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA)
Get involved with the teaching, supervision and assessment of both undergraduate and Master’s students. Join PhD students across the College by working as a GTA.
You will have the opportunity to broaden your experience and develop skills such as conveying complex technical concepts, writing and communication.
It can help improve your own theoretical and practical abilities and allows you to broaden your knowledge and gain task management experience.
How to get involved
Contact the department you are interested in for more information about GTA opportunities.
Graduate teaching assistant training
We have developed a new graduate teaching assistant training programme called STAR.
STAR provides PhD students with the chance to obtain Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. This qualification is increasingly sought by employers across the education sector.
