This two day course is being hosted at Imperial due to current COVID restrictions. It is open to all research students, regardless of stage or whether you have previously undertaken other graduate school residential courses. Participating in this course will teach you about roles in teams and working together. It will increase your self-awareness and understanding of others. This two day course follows the well-known Belbin® approach, throughout a series of exercises. You will review your Belbin® SPI report during the two day course and receive your full personal Belbin® report including observer feedback at a follow-up session.

You are expected to complete the Belbin® SPI questionnaire ahead of the two day course, attend on both days and complete Belbin® Observer feedback on team members at the end of the two days. The live sessions will support you in clarifying the learning, prepare you to give peer-feedback and enable you to interpret the full Belbin® report.

Many employers across all sectors, including the research sector, need people to work successfully in teams and look for experience and understanding during recruitment. This course will help you in your current and future roles. You will be able to demonstrate to supervisors and future employers that you have a good understanding of team working. It is a great addition for your professional development and your CV.
