In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, Imperial College London is offering 5 scholarships to students in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico and Thailand applying for postgraduate courses in Science, Technology, Engineering and Medicine subjects. 

The GREAT Scholarships 2021 programme, launched by the British Council together with 41 UK universities, supports postgraduate students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Thailand to access world-class UK higher education opportunities.

The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at the 41 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

All eligible applicants holding a valid passport of India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico and Thailand will be invited to apply for a GREAT scholarship if they receive an offer to study at Imperial before the closing date of 1 April 2021.

Eligibility 

To be considered for an Imperial College London - Great Scholarships you must:

  • be a citizen of India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico or Thailand
  • be available to commence your academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September/October 2021
  • have received an offer to study for a Master's Course from the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine or Faculty of Natural Sciences by 1 April 2021. Please note MRes courses are not eligible.

How to apply

Application information will be sent during the week beginning 5 April 2021 to eligible students who have received an offer to study at the College for 2021 entry.

How much is it worth?

Each Imperial College London - GREAT Scholarship is worth £10,000.

How many scholarships are available?

There are five in total (one each for India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico or Thailand)
