Taught by leading practitioners and faculty, this diverse Master’s enables you to tailor your learning to your interests and career goals.

Study programme

Before the programme begins you are expected to complete a number of online pre-study modules. These are designed to give you a basic knowledge of areas which will be covered by the programme throughout the academic year.

The programme commences in September and you complete a number of foundation modules to introduce you to the modern tools of finance, as well as a number of core modules. These cover topics such as Derivatives, Investment and Portfolio Management and Macroeconomics and develop your financial knowledge.

You also take up to four elective modules which are taught in the spring and summer terms. The elective modules allow you to customise your degree to match your interests and career ambitions and include 27 hours of lectures.

In the spring and summer terms, you will also choose between two types of research projects. Each project enables you to develop specialist skills and subject knowledge to benefit your future career. You can either pursue an Applied Project together with an additional elective, or a traditional Research Project. The Research Projects particularly suited to those students wanting to do a PhD after their MSc programme.
