The use of the College name is regulated by our Financial Regulations, which state:

"The College's prior written consent to the use of the words must be obtained whenever it is proposed to use the words "Imperial College London" (either alone or as part of a longer name), and/or the crest, for any commercial purpose where the income does not accrue to the College, or for any social purpose. Applications should be addressed to the College Secretary."

Similarly, the following names may not be used by any third party without the College's prior written consent:

• National Heart and Lung Institute
• Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School
• Royal Postgraduate Medical School
