For research students
Training in teaching will be provided by your own department, however if you are involved with assessment or marking of undergraduate work you will also be required by College to attend a short workshop on marking
Why teach?
- Evidence of teaching and/or some training for teaching may enhance a CV
- Teaching helps to improve a number of skills that are useful for a scientist's career, among which communication is paramount
- Teaching will allow you to have a role in forming the future experts in your discipline
- Imperial likes everyone who teaches its students to have had some training
