Nominations for the 2023 President's Awards for Excellence in Culture and Community will open on Friday 27 January and close on Wednesday 15 March 2023.

The President's Awards for Excellence in Culture and Community recognises those staff who have made outstanding contributions over the last year in three different categories:

  • Leadership: individual award
  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion: individual and/or team award
  • Collegiality: individual and/or team award
  • The President’s Medal for Excellence in Culture and Community: The President's Medal for this category will be awarded to individuals or teams who have made exceptional contributions to Culture and Community across the College.

President’s Award for Excellence in Leadership (Individual Award)

The President’s Award for Excellence in Leadership underlines the importance of good leadership and management at all levels within the College and supports a key aim of the College’s Strategy.  Excellence in leadership and management can be defined in a number of ways but the panel is looking for nominations for leaders and managers who consistently demonstrate exceptional commitment through sustained motivation, inspiration and development of staff, and who champion a positive approach to change and opportunity by consistently role modelling the College’s expected values and behaviours: Respect, Collaboration, Integrity, Innovation and Excellence.

President’s Award for Excellence in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (Individual &/or Team Award)

The College is committed to developing an environment which promotes equality of opportunity, values diversity and where students and staff can work and study free from discrimination and harassment. This award recognises an individual or team who have delivered a specific project, initiative or demonstrated inclusive participation in their everyday behaviour that significantly contributes to the enhancement of equality, diversity and inclusion at the College, whilst demonstrating commitment to the College’s expected values and behaviours: Respect, Collaboration, Integrity, Innovation and Excellence.

President’s Award for Excellence in Collegiality (Individual &/or Team Award)

Do you have an excellent colleague or work with an outstanding team that you would like to nominate?

The President’s Award for Excellence in Collegiality recognises an individual colleague or team who embodies our spirit of the Imperial community: one team working, planning, and delivering together towards our shared vision through effective networking, collaboration, and communication. This may include volunteering to assist with events, working on special projects, serving on committees, or programs outside of the normal work environment to deliver positive outcomes whilst demonstrating commitment to the College’s expected values and behaviours: Respect, Collaboration, Integrity, Innovation and Excellence.
