Biological materials form the natural environment we see around us and are typically capable of self-assembly, self-healing and multifunctionality. This project is investigating living co-cultures of engineered cells which together ‘grow’ more sophisticated composite biomaterials than is achieved with a single cell type.

ArmeD SerVices TrAuma RehabilitatioN OutComE Study

The ADVANCE study has been set up to evaluate the clinical, biological and psychosocial outcomes of a cohort of 600 UK battlefield casualties. This 20-year cohort study will offer a uniquely comprehensive description of the long-term physical and psychosocial outcomes of blast and other battlefield trauma.
