Imperial is participating in a read and publish agreement with Optica which includes read access to many of its journals and open access publishing for research and review articles in the following journals:

• Advances in Optics and Photonics
• Applied Optics
• Biomedical Optics Express
• Journal of the Optical Society of America A
• Journal of the Optical Society of America B
• Optica
• Optical Materials Express
• Optics Express
• Optics Letters
• Optics Continuum (formerly OSA Continuum)

Under the terms of the agreement, eligible articles will be published under a CC-BY open access licence at no cost to the author.

Colour charges and overlength fees are not included in the agreement, and authors will have to fund these. 

To be eligible, articles must meet the following conditions:

• Have a corresponding author affiliated with Imperial College London
• Be either review or a research article
