UK Interim Open Access Arrangement (1 March 2 - 30 June 30 2023 inclusive)
APS has enabled the automated open access workflow on its hybrid journals, for an interim period while it works on a formal open access agreement for UK institutions via Jisc.
This will allow Corresponding authors at Imperial, with articles accepted by Physical Review journals, to be published open access with a CC-BY license at no cost to authors.
The costs of publishing on an open access basis in the following journals are centrally covered by the interim arrangement:
Hybrid journals
- Physical Review Letters (PRL)
- Physical Review A (PRA)
- Physical Review B (PRB)
- Physical Review C (PRC)
- Physical Review D (PRD)
- Physical Review E (PRE)
- Physical Review Applied (PRApplied)
- Physical Review Fluids (PRFluids)
- Physical Review Materials (PRMaterials)
APS’s participation in SCOAP3 is integrated into this agreement and authors publishing their high-energy physics (HEP) research open access under SCOAP3 may continue to do so as usual.
To be eligible, articles must:
- be submitted by a confirmed Eligible Author affiliated with an eligible institution
- be accepted by a Participating Journal during the Interim Period 1 March - 30 June 2023 inclusive
- be one of the article types acceptable under the policies of the Participating Journal, including but not limited to regular articles, letters, rapid communications, reviews, perspectives, and short papers.
Full instructions are available at APS UK Interim Open Access Arrangement.
