Yes, but there is not a register for you to sign. Your demonstrator tracks and records your attendance at each session on your assessment sheet. This is then recorded on the attendance system. If you have a valid reason for absence please ensure you fill out a mitigating circumstances form (self certification) and hand this in to the level 3 undergraduate office. At the end of each lab cycle I will then cross check against all the forms handed in and change any recorded valid absences to an ‘apology’, for which you will not have your lab mark penalised.

Yes, you must pick a student that has lab in the same half as the week as you.

• Groups A-F have lab on Monday and Tuesday.
• Groups G-L have lab on Thursday and Friday.

So, for example, a student in group A can only pick a partner from groups A, B, C, D, E and F.

You should still complete a lab preference and partner form before the deadline. It is possible to add a partner after this date if you find one. Should you not find a partner, you will be alllocated one by the head of Year 2 Lab. You can find a lab preference form on the Year 2 Lab website.
