The Condensed Matter Physics section has PhD Studentships from the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and other funding sources. We offer direct-entry PhD positions. We also have studentships in two Centres for Doctoral Training (Plastic Electronics and Theory & Simulation of Materials) which include one year of taught courses.
