Research career profiles
At CATO we are really proud of all of our NMHAPP researchers across the Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC). The work they do really helps to drive forward the vision of the AHSC, which is to improve the quality of life of patients and populations by taking new research discoveries and translating them into new therapies as quickly as possible.
Included below is a selection of our Imperial AHSC colleagues who are undertaking research. We hope that you find reading their stories both interesting and inspiring, and that they highlight the various ways in which research careers can be developed.
If they've inspired you to get involved, take a look at our Training and Support pages for advice on where to begin.

Humans of Health Research
To celebrate the extraordinary work of our clinical researchers, the Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre has launched an online photography exhibition to spotlight some of Imperial’s clinical researchers and their innovative work. These people include research midwives, physiotherapists, pharmacists, nurses, patients and healthcare scientists. It also features the patients who have benefited, and whose experiences and input have influenced and inspired the research.
Covering a broad range of medical specialities, each portrait highlights what motivates these hardworking staff as well as demonstrating why their research is vital.
