About us
The CRUK Imperial Centre is part of a national network of 14 Centres, funded by CRUK, which aim to accelerate the progress of lab-based research and discoveries into clinical benefit for cancer patients.
The CRUK Imperial Centre is partnership between Imperial college London, Imperial college Healthcare NHS trust, Cancer Research UK and Imperial Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre (ECMC). The Centre funding was renewed in 2017 with a new mission to emphasise convergence science. The goal of our Centre is to facilitate collaborations between clinicians and biologists with the physical sciences, engineering and mathematics, harnessing our world-leading research across multiple faculties at Impeial.
What we do
As Imperial College London’s Cancer Research hub, we bring together innovative research and technologies, as well as talented researchers from across the college, in a coordinated effort to tackle cancer prevention and cancer treatment. By bringing together our cancer community under one hub, we hope to develop the next generation of technologies, methodologies and therapies and rapidly translate our discoveries into greater patient benefit. In Addition, we are committed to training the next generation of convergence cancer researchers through our PhD Studentship programme.
