International academic collaboration

Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine
A major recent international development for the Faculty has been the launch of the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, a joint initiative between Imperial and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Find out more about this important collaborative education development.

Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC)
Located in the United Arab Emirates, the ICLD Centre provides a one-stop, state-of-the-art outpatient facility that specialises in diabetes treatment, research, training and public health awareness. ICLDC has treated nearly 300,000 people since its launch in 2006.

World Health Organisation (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Public Health Education and Training
The WHO Collaborating Centre for Public Health Education and Training hosted at Imperial works broadly to develop research and training to encourage academic exchange and build capacity in the area of public health and primary care. This includes advising on the evaluation of health systems and support for development.

The MRC Centre for Outbreak Analysis and Modelling
The MRC Centre for Outbreak Analysis and Modelling has built a world-leading group of epidemiological researchers to support policy planning and response operations against emerging and endemic infectious disease threats. The Centre advises governments and international agencies on the control of a wide range of diseases.

The MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences is a direct-funded institute of the MRC. It forms the larger part of Imperial's 'Institute of Clinical Sciences', one of the Faculty's five academic departments.

Antimicrobial Research Collaborative at Imperial (ARC)
The Antimicrobial Research Collaborative at Imperial (ARC@Imperial) consolidates world leading, multidisciplinary research across the College to address the urgent global threat of antimicrobial resistance from a 'one health' perspective.

Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBME) Research Technology Networks
The IBME Research Technology Networks draw together researchers from across Imperial to promote and coordinate multi-disciplinary research programmes for generation of novel IP in specific therapeutic/disease management areas.

MRC-NIHR National Phenome Centre
Led by Imperial and King's College London, the MRC-NIHR National Phenome Centre delivers broad access to world-class capability in metabolic phenotyping for the whole UK translational medicine community. The establishment of the Centre enables the UK to take advantage of the legacy of the 2012 Olympics state-of-the-art drug testing/analytical laboratory.
