Autoethnography cycle

Have you ever thought about getting involved in education research but didn't know where to start? Do you want to engage with a methodology that allows you to be creative and at the same time submit a paper for publication? The autoethnography cycle has been set up to help us reflect on Higher Education teaching and learning, and medical education.

Professional Development Retreats

Timetabled retreats allow Teaching Fellows time to focus on academic tasks primarily intended to achieve academic outputs such as publications. These retreats can be used for data analysis, reading, writing up, and any other relevant academic activities. Participants can use the session as protected time to work towards personal goals independently or can book a slot for individual guidance, support and/or feedback.

Evening Drop-ins over coffee

Informal drop-ins can be used 1) to bounce ideas and/or get feedback on aspects related to evaluation and research of the new curriculum, and 2) to explore new ideas for medical education research projects. Depending on the number of Colleagues who will join us, this can also be space for networking. Participants can access these just by ‘dropping in’ for a few minutes or the whole session, and if they can request a ‘closed’ meeting to explore an idea privately.
