Join our student ambassador programme!

We have a growing team of student ambassadors who support us during open days, the Great Exhibition Road Festival and school visits. Our student ambassadors also support us with digital outreach through our social media channels with informative blog posts, Instagram takeovers and filming.

There are two types of departmental ambassadors:

• Undergraduate students can apply to be Outreach ambassadors. In this role, you'll support us at open days and public engagements by answering questions, giving tours and running our departmental stand. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in communications and social media activities. You can choose the shifts you would like to work, but you will need to be available for one of our open days in June or September.
  
  
• Postgraduate Research (PhD) students can apply to be Demonstrator ambassadors. As a Demonstrator ambassador, you'll support us at open days and public engagements by demonstrating lab experiments, equipment, and facilities. You can choose the shifts you would like to work, but you will need to be available for one of our open days in June or September.

If you would like to join our student ambassador programme, please keep an eye on your emails during the late Autumn Term. Applications open in November, and interviews are often scheduled for mid-December or early January.

This is a paid opportunity, and training will be provided when you join the team.
