OliviaFrom attempting real projects to managing cultural differences; my internship with Motorola in Africa was full of incredible and memorable experiences.  Many of the real life problems turned out to be much more complicated than those faced in lectures.  There were many more factors to consider and so much more than a project grade riding on the outcome!

The internship gave me an insight into working life and how large business works.  I came back to College with a clearer view of my future and consequently could make smarter choices about classes and career options.

In the summer between my third and fourth year I did a nine week internship in the Technology Division of Merrill Lynch. I was the project manager for a comprehensive software upgrade which applied to all servers across three divisions of the company. The role included finding a unique solution for each internal client’s upgrade.  During the internship I also spent a few days in the structuring division working on financial models.
