Bioengineering is the fastest growing engineering discipline with prospects for employment in industry and research. The Department currently offers three MSc programmes.

Our courses will provide you with technical knowledge, expertise and transferable skills in this exciting area. Our applicants come from around the globe. Some, applying for our Biomedical Engineering and Human Biological Robotics MSc courses, have previous study of Biomedical Engineering that they wish to extend further, others come from other engineering and physical science backgrounds such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Physics. For our MSc Engineering for Biomedicine course applicants are mostly from life sciences and clinical sciences backgrounds interested in applying knowledge and skills from these areas to bioengineering.

Bioengineering Masters Courses Open afternoon - 14:00-16:00 Wednesday 8th March 2023

If you’re interested in studying a Masters courses with the Department of Bioengineering at Imperial, come along to our in-person afternoon to find out more about our courses.

Visiting our campus will give you a better sense of Imperial and whether you can see yourself studying here. It’s your chance to talk to current students and staff from the dept of bioengineering and get a feel for life on campus.

Join us on Wednesday 8th March 14:00 -16:00 and you’ll:

  • Explore our South Kensington Campus with a guided tour
  • Have your questions answered in our student panel Q&A session

In-person information appointments

The College student recruitment team offer weekly in-person appointments for prospective students in our Visitor Centre in the main entrance of our South Kensington Campus on Exhibition Road – located in square B2 on this campus map. Further details including an online booking form can be found on the College Visit pages.

Our bioengineering admissions team is happy to meet with interested students to talk more about our department and the courses we offer. If you are able to get to South Kensington then we can look to arrange a department tour; if you are not able to get to South Kensington then an MS Teams call can be arranged.
