Time is in constant flux. The present passes away leaving a memory of incidents. When time is explored in art, it is disrupted, fragmented and an experience of time is preserved and captured in images. Through the act of trying to capture time, information is lost and hybrids are reinvented in an attempt to reclaim what was. Within this fixed pocket the viewer looks upon the work and the perception of the past is reactivated into the present. This perception of time can trigger thoughts of nostalgia and reinvent what has happened, invent an alternative past or project into a future.

The show will bring together a group of Royal College of Art Painting, students, each exploring different aspects of the boundaries of time through their chosen medium within the language of painting.
