Travel to Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and the region

Currently the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) advises against all travel to Ukraine, Belarus and RussiaTherefore, the College does not permit travel to the region until further notice.

For pre-booked travel, staff and students should contact their airline in the first instance to arrange a refund.  They can then submit a claim to insurers for any monies which has not been refunded.

If any staff and students are in Russia or Belarus and feel unsafe and wish to return to the UK early, insurers will cover additional travel costs incurred.

Please note: - If original return tickets were not already booked, then these costs cannot be claimed as it would have been expected the travellers would have to pay to return in any event.

If staff and students are in the region and wish to relocate to another country other than return to the United Kingdom/original country of departure, please submit a claim to our insurer RSA, who will take each and every case on its own merits depending on individual circumstances.

We ask all travellers affected to speak to their Head of Department and maintain regular dialogue with the Travel Management Team should they have any queries.
