Imperial’s HR Excellence in Research Award
Imperial’s HR Strategy & Recruiting Staff
Since 2012 Imperial’s HR Excellence submissions have been mapped against the UK Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers. Imperial has endorsed and is now committed to the 40 principles of the European Charter and Code and have mapped our actions against the EU Charter and Code.
The most up to date documents, covering the actions and progression from the initial 2012 actions to June 2018, are the 2018 Gap Analysis, Action Plan and Internal Review document.
2012 – The College conducted and submitted an initial Gap Analysis and Action Plan (actions focus - 2013-2015). Endorsing the UK Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers and committing to actions to and was awarded the European Commission's HR Excellence in Research Award via the UK process.
2015 – The College completed a 2-year internal review with a revised Action Plan (actions focus - 2015-2017).
2017 – The College submitted a 4-year review with a revised Action Plan (actions focus - 2017-2019). Since submitting we have transferred from the UK process to the EU process, therefore the documentation has been updated and transferred to the new strengthened process (2018).
2018 – The College has completed a review of the HR Excellence in Research Award Gap Analysis and Action Plan and has conducted an Internal Review – fully endorsing and committing to implementing the European Charter and Code for Researchers.
