Overview

In this 60-minute session, led by author and mental health campaigner Charlie Hoare, we will tackle the taboo of men talking about their mental health so that men no longer feel they must suffer in silence. Through a series of practical exercises, we explore how men experience different mental health issues and will learn a set of actionable tips to help enhance the mental wellbeing of men.

Did you know that one in three men (32%) blame their work for causing mental health problems, compared to only one in five women (19%)? Or that suicide is the most significant cause of death for men under 35? And yet, men are less likely than women to speak to someone about their mental health or to access psychological therapies to manage it. Therefore, making men feel more supported in the workplace has never been a more pressing topic.
