Why has the Turnitin interface changed?

We have received confirmation from Turnitin Support that from August 2022, the current integration will no longer be supported. Turnitin have released a new version of the integration which we have implemented to retain vendor support.

What has changed?

1. The icon to the submission link has changed from, see screenshot below showing the two icons.
2. The interface for the submission page has changed but the process of uploading and submitting is the same.
3. You will not receive a digital receipt via email but will have to download the receipt yourself.

Accessing and Downloading graded work submitted pre-22/23

Due to the change to the new Turnitin integration, we cannot guarantee that you will retain access to previously submitted files after December 2023.  Therefore, we are encouraging you to download and save marked/graded work from Turnitin submissions made in previous academic years to ensure you always have access to a copy of your work in the future.

Accessing your feedback

Method 1: My grades page via the global navigation menu

Go to the top right corner of the Blackboard page and click on My Marks icon in the dropdown menu under your username.

This will take you to your My Marks page. Using the filters, you can access your grades and feedback for all submissions.

Select the assignment and click on the title link to view the Assignment information containing details of your grade and feedback.

Under the section Assignment Materials, section, Click on the "My Paper" icon. This will launch Turnitin Feedback Studio.

Note: If a My Marks link has been enabled either on the course navigation or within the content area, you can click on this link and it will take you directly to your My Marks Page.

Method 2: Using the submission point

Go to the submission point and click on "view/complete".

This will take you to the assignment inbox. Click on "View" button and this will launch feedback studio. (refer to last section “downloading feedback from Turnitin")

Downloading feedback from Turnitin

In Feedback Studio click on the Download option

A pop-up box will appear, select Current View.

This will prepare the download of the submission with feedback.
