“I have been lucky to have known many incredible women in my life, but my Mum is the woman who inspires me the most.

“She has taught me every important life lesson from the value of hard work to loyalty and how to be brave. My Mum has always believed in me and encouraged me to go after my dreams.

“Like many women, I often struggle with trying to have it all and feeling like an imposter.  I recently rang my Mum after a tough day and she gave me some words of wisdom: ‘You didn’t work this hard to achieve your dreams only to not give yourself the time and space to enjoy your success.’ 

“I am proud to work at Imperial and be surrounded by women role models whether they are scientists, researchers, medics or other professionals. Their diversity and expertise is inspiring and I think women can learn so much from their range of experiences and choices.  Everyone has a different path and that is worth taking a moment to celebrate.”
