The Research Project Management team are a specialist group of coordinators that support major international research collaborations funded through Horizon Europe. From finance and admin through to communications and engagement, the team provide professional expertise at all levels to ensure that academics can focus on the research.

Dr Marta Archanco is Head of the Research Project Management team. Following a PhD and teaching experience in molecular biology in Spain, she joined the College as a postdoctoral scientist (Department of Medicine) in 2006. Since then, her career includes roles in laboratory management and 5 years’ experience in research administration and grants management. She also has extensive background in public engagement with science.

Dr Radu Rautiu has been at Imperial since 1991, as PhD student in Chemical Engineering (1991-1995), post-doc in TH Huxley School (1995-1997) and joined Imperial as full staff (1997-2020). Radu was Head of RPM (2014-2019) and since 2020 he is flexi-retired (60%FTE). Radu is the co-PI for the KIOS CoE project for RPM and he is a Chartered Fellow of the CMI.

Eva Fernandez

Eva is the Project Manager of two H2020 projects: EAVI2020 and PRESTIGE-AF. She has a MSc in Instrumental Analytical Sciences and has project management and entrepreneurial experience including more than 2 years’ working as a H2020 Project Officer for EURAMET.

Siobhan Markus

Siobhan is the Project Manager of the Horizon2020 research project, SONICOM. She supports the consortia academics by leading on the financial, administrative and overall consortium management. Siobhan also oversees the communication and marketing activities of RPM and its portfolio of projects.

Ben is a Project Support Coordinator who provides administrative support to the RPM team’s portfolio of international collaborative projects. He assists the team’s project managers with financial and administrative management of the projects.

Harry Jenkins

Harry is the Science Communication Officer for the RPM, working on the marketing, communication and engagement activities for their portfolio of research projects. He has an MSc in science communication and joined the team in January 2022 after 3 and a half years at Cancer Research UK in various science communication roles.
