This module aims to develop a practitioner with a broad understanding of how to manage a patient who is using remote monitoring.
The specific focus of the module will be on the management of patients with heart failure who are using external remote monitoring equipment (telemonitoring).

Course methods
The course is delivered over 20 weeks. There will be two taught study days at the start of the course. The student learning will then be supported by directed study via a virtual learning environment including interactive exercises and on-line lectures. At the conclusion of the 20-week course there will be one further study day.

Who should attend?
The course is designed for nurses or allied health professionals in primary, secondary or specialist care working with patients with either heart failure or chronic lung disease and using remote patient monitoring.
GPs involved in the care of patients using remote monitoring, any healthcare professional monitoring and managing patients using remote patient monitoring and any telehealth care staff.
