Photography: Digital Devices is a practical photography course that invites you to explore the world with the camera in your pocket. Smartphones give us the potential to develop our creative instincts, alongside our daily lives, and to express what we see in online Social Media.
The course includes classroom lectures and practical assignments that will teach you how to get the best from your camera phone and photography apps. You will learn about editing and postproduction as well as the creative potential of Photography and AI apps.
You will also explore social media and how you can build an audience for your work. You will end the course with a portfolio of pictures that will form the foundation of your individual creative practice.
Whilst you are working on assignments during the week you will be able to receive tuition via the course Teams. There will also be a group tutorial on the assignments at the start of every classroom session.
Our aim is that you will end the course with a portfolio of photographic images that can form the foundation of your ongoing individual photography practice.
You will need your own iPhone or Android phone camera. Options for editing and creative apps will be discussed during the course.
