The Legal Services (Advancement) team provides advice on legal issues arising across the range of the Advancement Division’s activities. This includes advice, drafting and negotiation in connection with charity, trust and contract law in the context of gifts to the College, whether outright or for endowment, and more general compliance matters, including data protection law and Equality Act compliance. The Legal Services (Advancement) team is responsible for managing the Division’s GDPR compliance project. We also provide advice in relation to commercial contract terms and fundraising and philanthropy-related matters.
