The tentative title of Rob’s presentation is “Powering the future: Gas Sustainability Innovation”

Biography

Rob is accountable for technology development for the removal of hydrogren sulphide (H2S), carbon dioxide (CO2) & other contaminants from natural gas and for CO2 Capture, Utilization & Storage (CCUS).

Rob joined Shell in 1991 at the Royal Dutch Shell Laboratory Amsterdam (now Shell Technology Centre Amsterdam). He then moved to Shell’s Downstream business where he worked in Manufacturing, Technical Consultancy, and Supply & Trading in Germany, South Africa and The Netherlands. He was appointed to his current role early 2014. Rob holds MSc and PhD degrees in Chemical Reactor Engineering from Twente University in The Netherlands.
