Dr Semra Bakkologlu

Dr Semra Bakkaloglu is a Research Associate at the Sustainable Gas Institute with over 10 years of combined experience in academia, industry and consultancy. Dr Bakkaloglu's research is centred on environmental process engineering, life cycle assessments, and energy modelling as well as methane and hydrogen emissions from their supply chains.Affiliations

Dr Ariane Millot

Ariane works on energy systems modelling in order to design pathways compatible with the Paris Agreement. She is involved in the Climate Compatible Growth program that aims to help countries to take a path of low carbon development while meeting the SDGs. She is particularly interested in the technical and social transformations needed for the energy transition to reach a net zero target.

Dr Pooya Hoseinpoori

Pooya's research focuses on energy system modelling and policy making. Her SGI projects focus on infrastructure planning and system design to meet sustainable development and emission mitigation goals. Pooya leads the IRENA FlexTool modelling and training in Vietnam and Kenya for the Climate Compatible Growth program (CCG) as well as the Qatar TIMES and NEUPA modelling projects. She completed her PhD at Imperial College London.

Dr Vignesh Sridharan

Vignesh leads the Lao PDR specific engagement for SGI under the Climate Compatible Growth (CCG) program. He has a background in integrated resource systems modelling focused on emerging economies. Before joining SGI, Vignesh was a principle member of the Climate, Land Use, Energy and Water systems (CLEWs) team at KTH in Stockholm, Sweden.

Dr Martin Stringer

Martin joined the SGI at the end of 2022 to support all aspects of the group's work, in particular continuing to develop and extend our advanced modelling tools. His interdisciplinary research background has included global mineral production, future demand from electric vehicles and renewable energy pathways, design and optimisation of water distribution networks, conflicts between wildlife conservation and human welfare, ecosystem restoration, galactic astrophysics and cosmology.
