The Space and Atmospheric Physics group is active in a wide range different outreach and public engagement activities. Members of the group regularly meet to discuss current initiatives and how they align with emerging recommendations from educational / social science research and outreach / engagement practitioners, particularly with regards to equality, diversity and inclusion issues and impact.‌

We regularly engage with print, broadcast, and digital media outlets, either to help widely communicate news-worthy research from the group, comment on the latest science-related stories, or participate in dialogues around current issues. Several group members also engage with industry and business so that we can help address business and societal challenges in order provide benefits for society.
