Research Fellowships
The MRC Centre for Molecular Bacteriology and Infection (CMBI), at Imperial College London, is a world class Centre focused on Bacterial Physiology and Pathogenesis, Antimicrobial Resistance, Microbiota, and Host Immunity. The Centre hosts a diverse community of young and enthusiastic academics and practitioners some of whom joined the Centre as Research Fellows.
The CMBI welcomes talented post-doctoral researchers who are ready to make the transition to independent investigator. Individuals wishing to apply for external fellowship funding (for example MRC, Wellcome Trust, BBSRC, Royal Society) hosted by the CMBI will benefit from our established pioneering mentoring system that will allow YOU, the next generation of prominent scientists, to flourish in a unique environment.
To express interest in a Fellowship application:
Candidates who meet the criteria above are advised to send a CV (2 pages), a summary of their proposed research programme and details of their selected funding scheme(s) to Nicola Tingley (n.tingley@imperial.ac.uk), CMBI Centre Manager. Our mentoring panel will review each application and establish if it fits to both the funding scheme and the strategic aims of the Centre.
We particularly encourage applications from female scientists and scientists from diverse backgrounds who are underrepresented in the academic staff of CMBI, Departments of Infectious Disease and Life Sciences.
The CMBI and Imperial College is committed to equality of opportunity, to eliminating discrimination and to creating an inclusive working environment.
