Julia Borella

Julia is an MSc in Translational Neuroscience student at Imperial College London. In the ISN lab, Julia is working on a clinical trial investigating the use of temporal interference (TI), a method of non-invasive brain stimulation, in Alzheimer's disease. Previously, Julia completed a BSc in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Edinburgh, during which she also went on exchange to the University of Sydney. When not in the lab, Julia can be found surfing, dancing, and doing yoga.

Anastasia Ilina

Anastasia is an MSc Translational Neuroscience Student at Imperial College London. In the ISN lab, she develops computational approaches and feature-based statistical learning models for analysing the neural dynamics (measured by EEG) underlying the transition between sleep and wakefulness. The current aim of her project is to uncover the most prominent features of EEG signal that could be employed to distinguish and predict the occurrence of arousals during sleep.  Previously, Anastasia completed a BSc in Neuroscience at University College London. As a part of her BSc Research project, she worked at Michael Hausser’s Neural Computation lab where she assessed the hierarchical organisation of the visual information processing in mice using an all-optical approach.
