Emerging Structural Technologies
Welcome to the Emerging Structural Technologies and Design Research Group at Imperial College London

The Emerging Structural Technologies group, in collaboration with Profs Nanos (Portsmouth) and Pei (Mines), are trialing an innovative, low-cost wireless seismic monitoring system in the tallest full-scale building ever to be tested on an earthquake simulator (NEHRI Tallwood project).
Finding optimal shapes of regolith-based arches subject to inertia (seismic)l loading in low-gravity (extraterrestrial) conditions.
