Nereida began her undergraduate studies at Imperial College London in 2019 and is now in the final year of her MSci Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry degree. Throughout her time at Imperial, she developed an interest in the fields of chemical biology and drug discovery. Nereida has now joined the Di Antonio group to complete her MSci research project, where she will be working on alternative pathways to synthesise long repeat sequences of DNA, which have been linked to neurodegenerative diseases such as ALS and FTD
