Minghui Zhu
Minghui earned her BSc in Chemistry in 2022 from the University of Edinburgh and East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) via the 2+2 double degree programme. During her BSc project, she worked on the development of microplate fluorescence-based assay for the detection of α-synuclein aggregates using a mitochondrial dye, JC-1. She also utilized Native IM-MS to study the aggregation of α-synuclein.
Minghui is now part of the Di Antonio group as a MRes student in drug discovery and development. Her project will focus on selective targeting DNA G-quadruplexes using dCas9-G4-ligand conjugates.
In her spare time, Minghui enjoys doing yoga and playing the piano.
