For new students

PhD programme

When: The second call for 2023 entry to the Crick’s PhD programme is open until Wednesday 22 March 2023.

Who: The Crick’s PhD programme is open to high-quality students who meet the eligibility criteria which can be viewed on the Crick’s website.

Apply: Eligible applicants should apply direct through the Crick’s website.

More information: We look for talented and motivated graduates with backgrounds in biological or biomedical sciences, physics, chemistry, engineering, mathematics or computer science to join the Crick PhD programme. Successful applicants are offered a place on the Crick PhD programme and a PhD studentship that covers:

• £25,000 tax-free student stipend (living allowance) per year for four years
• Tuition fees
• If applicable, reimbursement of the student visa application fee and immigration health surcharge

PhD student symposium

When: Monday 10 July 2023 

Who: All PhD students with Crick-related projects are eligible to attend this event.

Apply: To submit an abstract or to register to attend, please search on CrickNet for PhD Student Symposium.

More information: This is a student-organised event with the aims of bringing together the Crick-related PhD students who are spread across the partnership universities (Imperial College London, UCL and King’s College London). Please check back here again for updates.

PhD coffee mornings

When: Join other Crick-related PhD students at the Crick’s ground floor coffee shop for a social get-together at 10.00–11.30 on the following Wednesdays:
