Knee Disarticulation Prosthesis

A project focusing on the needs of amputees in landmine-affected countries.

This project aimed to develop a low-cost assistive technology for landmine victims. The team comprised of design engineers and bioengineers from Imperial College working alongside amputees, prosthetists, orthotists, physiotherapists, surgeons and NGOs. This report contains an overview of the initial 6 month exploration phase of the project.
