Mr Vishnu Prasad is a Geneticist at Pondicherry University. His work in the AMRWATCH project involves understanding the molecular and biochemical basis of antimicrobial resistance in bacteria isolated from sewage and sediment samples.  He also looks at the microbiome in the human and animal gut by performing molecular studies on the resistant genes that are found in the resistant bacteria.
